Where to See Fireworks in DC By Kim Sabshin |
| |
The Fourth of July is almost here, and warm weather is here along with everything else that it brings with it. Whether you enjoy barbecues, time spent with family and friends, or just relaxing after a long week at work, almost everyone can find common ground in one enduring tradition: fireworks. Here are some great places to see fireworks if you’ll be in the DC area this Independence Day.
National Mall: The National Mall will host an all-day event on Saturday, ending with the fireworks display at around 9:15pm. During the day, the parade down Constitution Avenue starts at 11:45am and includes marching bands, military units, and floats. The National Symphony Orchestra will play on the West Lawn of the Capitol Building. The fireworks will be sent from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool into the sky over the Washington Monument.
