Ting Tings Take Over Berlin Jazz Club
The Ting Tings may now have a home for their next recording. The group is planning to work in Berlin and percussionist Jules De Martino tells "BBC's Newsbeat" that they're hoping to convert an old jazz club they've found into a studio. Singer Katie White says they also hope to use the venue to test out songs for friends in a party-like atmosphere. She explains, quote, "That's why we've got the jazz club. So we can just stick a big plastic bag over the studio so it doesn't get beer on it and experiment on some crazy Berliners." The Ting Tings will be returning to the stage August 1 at the All Points West Festival in State Park, New Jersey. |
