Madonna Concert E-Mail Creates Aussie Buzz
Madonna fans in Australia are still buzzing over an anonymous e-mail that alleges that the 51-year-old is planning shows Down Under. According to the Aussie newspaper "The Daily Telegraph," the e-mail asserts that the Material Girl will play ten shows at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne as part of her "Celebration" Tour. The unauthenticated e-mail also offers tickets starting at 249 dollars, along with a chance to meet the pop star for three-thousand dollars. While rumors of the possible concerts have spurred excitement, Australian promoter Paul Dainty isn't so sure. Dainty commented, quote, "The last I heard - which was only a few weeks ago - was there was no Australian tour planned. Stranger things have happened, but it's not very likely." |
