Marie Osmond To Attend Son's Funeral Monday, Return To Work Tuesday
The funeral for Marie Osmond's son will be held Monday in Utah. The "Las Vegas Sun" reports that Osmond will then return to work the next day. Marie has been grieving the death of her son, Michael Blosil, since last Friday. He committed suicide by leaping from his high-rise apartment building in Los Angeles, California. Marie and brother Donny are adding five shows at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino between April 13th and 17th to make up for the shows they missed during their time off this week. A statement reads, quote, "These were previously unscheduled show dates, added to accommodate guests who had tickets to recently cancelled shows due to the personal tragedy in the Osmond family."
The Osmonds' Vegas show producer, Chip Lightman, says he thinks "performing will help the healing process" for Marie. Blosil was 18 years old. He had reportedly struggled with severe depression for quite some time. |
