Sir Elton Hosts Annual Oscar Celebration In Los Angeles
When Sir Elton John invites the stars out to celebrate, they show up in droves. PopSugar.com reports that the Rocket Man's 18th Annual AIDS Foundation party on Oscar night drew a number of big names. "American Idol's" Simon Cowell was there, as were Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, and "Glee's" Lea Michele. Jamie Foxx, who landed a Best Actor Oscar in 2005 for his portrayal of music man Ray Charles in "Ray," was also there with actress Stacey Dash of "Clueless" fame. Also making an appearance was Jennifer Hudson, who earned her Oscar statue in 2007 for "Dreamgirls." Hudson wore what was reportedly the color of the night -- royal blue.
Sir Elton founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation in America 1992. There is a counterpart organization in the UK. Collectively, the two foundations have raised over 175-million dollars to date. |
