AC/DC Frontman Goes Folk For Kids
AC/DC's Brian Johnson might seem an unlikely singer to tap for a children's album. But the rocker is among the stars contributing to the new CD "Love & Peace - Greatest Hits For Kids" compilation. The disc features a variety of stars taking on classic and inspiring tracks aimed at a young audience. Some might find Johnson's track as odd as his participation in the project -- he adds the folk classic "If I Had A Hammer," which he sings with a group of children. Other cuts on the 16-song CD include Maria Muldaur's rendition of "On The Good Ship Lollipop," Brenda Lee's "Grandma's Feather Bed," and Donovan performing "I Love My Shirt." Andrew Gold and Linda Ronstadt team up to cover "The Monster Mash," and The Persuasions turn in "Teddy Bears' Picnic." Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Sheila E., Willie Nelson, and Faith Hill are some of the other artists on the disc. "Love & Peace - Greatest Hits For Kids" is in stores now.
