Browne To Receive Award In Sarzana, Italy
An Italian organization has named Jackson Browne winner of one of its highest honors. The City of Sarzana-Liguria Region announced that Browne will receive the Strings & Voices for Dialogue and Civil Rights Award this spring. The Grammy-winner is slated to pick up the honor a the 13th Acoustic Guitar Meeting in Sarzana, Italy on May 22nd. In making the announcement, the City of Sarzana-Liguria praised the "Running On Empty" artist for his, quote, "commitment and social activism, political and civilian."
In related news, the 61-year-old rocker is hitting the road with David Lindley his summer with a trek that begins on July 20th in Las Vegas.
