The 21-year-old was charged Thursday with a felony count of possession for sale of cocaine. Mejia was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for alleged speeding Tuesday night in Glendale, California. According to a police report, the arresting officer found more than a dozen bags of cocaine in Mejia's Gucci purse. The driver of the car, 28-year-old Peter Asencio, was also arrested. He is charged with one felony count of possession for sale of cocaine and one misdemeanor count of driving when privilege is suspended or revoked. Mejia was released from police custody Wednesday after posting 30-thousand-dollars bail. She is due back in court for arraignment on April 15th. Natalie Mejia is one-third of the singing group Girlicious, formed in 2007 by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antrin. In 2008 she beat out other contestants on the CW reality series "Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious" to become a member of the all-girl singing group. Girlicious group members also include Nichole Cordova and Chrystina Sayers. The trio is reportedly in the midst of recording a second studio album which will include their latest single "Over You."
