LCD Have Less System, More Sounds
Despite past proclamations, we may not have heard the last of LCD Soundsystem. Leader James Murphy tells "The Quietus," quote, "For me, it's not the end of the band, it's the end of the band being a professional entity - like a professional rock band that makes albums and videos and tours and all that stuff." Murphy says the group, as most people know it, will be changing. He explains, quote, "We'll still make some music, but playing together is such a Herculean thing because everyone lives in different parts of the world and has lives. We'll still be making LCD Soundsystem music and stuff. We just need to go back and have it be a part of our lives rather than our whole lives." The vocalist says that while there may be another album, he's keen to get out of the expected cycle and isn't counting anything out other than touring professionally.
