Kenny Loggins To Join Boston Pops At Weekend Celebration
Kenny Loggins' weekend plans include a stop in Rhode Island to perform with the world-renowned Boston Pops. Loggins will be a special guest at a concert on Saturday night that's part of the Pops' ongoing 125th anniversary celebration. The 62-year-old is expected to perform his signature hits with the Massachusetts orchestra, including "This Is It," "Footloose," and "Danger Zone." Loggins comments, quote, "I'm extremely excited and proud to be associated with The Boston Pops...I am very much looking forward to having the honor of performing with them."
The Pops concert will take place at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Saturday, September 4th. McCoy is also the home of the minor league baseball team The Pawtucket Red Sox. This weekend's concert will mark the first time that the entire orchestra from The Boston Pops has performed in a baseball stadium. A portion of proceeds from the holiday weekend performance will benefit Hasbro's Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. |
