Dave Mustaine Shares Aspirations Of A Rock Hall Induction
Megadeth's Dave Mustaine is hoping one day he'll join Metallica in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The singer-guitarist admits it was difficult watching his one-time band be inducted without him, but he tells SuicideGirls.com he doesn't resent his former group. He explains, quote, "I told those guys how I felt -- I was proud of them. And I think that's all that really needs to be said about that." The rocker says he believes Megadeth will eventually get the nod, but also notes things haven't always gone the way he's expected.
Mustaine adds that if his band does get inducted, there's the issue of who should be included. He says he wouldn't make the decision, explaining, quote, "That's a question left up to the other guys. I have nothing against them. There's been a lot of stuff that's been resolved over the years and there's been a lot of growth on a lot of people's parts, but I can't be responsible for the resentment that other people still have." Megadeth is now eligible for induction into the Rock Hall. Artists are considered for induction 25 years after the release of their first recording. Megadeth's debut album, "Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!" arrived in 1985. |
