Apocalyptica Discusses Musical Experimentation On New CD
Apocalyptica really experimented musically as they worked on their new album, "7th Symphony." Drummer Mikko Siren notes band members remained very open minded regarding the instrumentation.
Cellist Eicca Toppinen adds that having producer Joe Baressi and his arsenal of instruments really excited the band. He explains, quote, "We really wanted to dive into the world of sounds this time and he was great. Joe loves really old school equipment -- amps, pedals, all this analog stuff -- and we wanted to have someone who could guide us into a new world of sound and that's exactly what happened on the record." Apocalyptica's "7th Symphony" is in stores now. |
