Rockers Sixx, Taylor, Yseault Have Books On The Way
Some rock stars are doing more than writing lyrics these days. Nikki Sixx, Corey Taylor, and Sean Yseault are among the musicians with books on the way. Sixx will follow "The Heroine Diaries" with "This Is Gonna Hurt," a part-photo, part-journal page-turner expected next March. The bassist says, quote, "I've always had an eye for the oddities in life. Even as a kid I saw the world in my own way and thought most things that were different were beautiful and magical. Even things that other people thought were horrifying and disgusting and weird. . . People say I have a distorted lens. I think I see things as they really are."
As for Taylor, the Slipknot vocalist has been writing the book, "Seven Deadly Sins," which is expected next March. Taylor recently told "ExploreMusic," quote, "It's me making that point of you can live with these urges, you can live with these hungers and still be a good person, and I balance it with some stories from the past and all these things that I kind of went through and, you know, that I came out on the other side and, hopefully, I'm a good person for it. So it's kind of half funny, half serious, but it's very -- I think -- I think it's very intelligently written and I make very valid points and I cuss a lot in it, so there you go."
Meanwhile, former White Zombie bassist Sean Yseault offers "I'm In The Band" this December. The book is a collection of Yseault's tour diaries, fliers, and personal photos recounting her career with the 90s rock outfit. |
