Anthrax Singer Joey Belladonna Talks Band Harmony
Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna is talking about harmony in his band these days. The 49-year-old on-again, off-again, and now on-again frontman told Technocrati.com that the current Anthrax lineup is working for a variety of reasons. Belladonna says, quote, "We're making things work. We're enjoying playing together and we just want to make everything fair so we all know what's going on and we make it a really good time together." Belladonna rocked with Anthrax from 1984 through 1992. He then worked with his own band, Belladonna, for several years. Belladonna hooked up with Anthrax again during a 2005-2006 tour and officially rejoined the group in May 2010. That was right before the metal band's historic "Big Four" shows in Europe this summer with Slayer, Megadeth, and Metallica.
The official lineup of Anthrax these days includes Belladonna at lead vocals, Frank Bello on bass guitar and vocals, Charlie Benante on drums and guitar, Scott Ian on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Rob Caggiano on lead guitar. Anthrax will be part of the second leg of the "American Carnage" tour with Slayer and Megadeth beginning this month. The tour will kick off with a newly-added stop at The Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City on Thursday, September 23rd.
