McKagan Moves On From Jane's Addiction
Duff McKagan and Jane's Addiction are wrapping up a short, but reportedly sweet run together. RollingStone.com reports that the former Guns N' Roses rocker and the alternative rock band have parted ways. This, just five months after the band sought out McKagan to fill out their sound in the studio and on the live stage. Jane's Addiction released a statement that discusses McKagan's songwriting and recording for the band's new album. The statement reads, quote, "We love the songs we worked on with [Duff]] -- and the gigs were a blast -- but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best." Jane's frontman Perry Farrell posted additional well-wishes on his Twitter account, saying, quote, "Jane's wishes Duff much luck with his band Loaded. What a fun time we all had working together." Jane's Addiction is rocking on next month. The band is confirmed to play a benefit show in Los Angeles on October 17th. McKagan, meanwhile, is doing work with his own band, Loaded. The band just concluded work on a new studio project.
