Jerry Lee Lewis Joining Broadway's "Million Dollar Quartet" Tomorrow
Jerry Lee Lewis is capping off a week of promotional activity with a turn on Broadway. The 74-year-old legend is scheduled to make a guest appearance with the cast of the musical "Million Dollar Quartet" Friday night. "Million Dollar Quartet" was inspired by the historic December 1956 recording session at Sun Records Studios in Memphis, Tennessee featuring Lewis along with Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins. Lewis is the last surviving member of that original "Million Dollar Quartet." Tomorrow's special Broadway show follows the release of Lewis' latest studio album, "Mean Old Man," which hit stores this week. The veteran star will also be making a couple of TV appearances to promote the disc. He's slated to perform this morning on NBC's "Today," and he's the musical guest tonight on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." Yesterday, Lewis visited the ladies on ABC's "The View." On the show Lewis unveiled his new single, "Rockin' My Life Away," which is on "Mean Old Man," and performed his classic hit "Great Balls Of Fire."
