B.o.B. Has Never Met "Airplanes" Partner Hayley Williams
B.o.B.'s hit song, "Airplanes," features vocals from Hayley Williams of Paramore. But interestingly enough, the singer has never met his guest collaborator. B.O.B. made the admission on E!'s "Chelsea Lately." When host Chelsea Handler asked him how it's possible for them to duet together without meeting, the singer cited the magic of technology. B.o.B. said, quote, "Sometimes when artists want to work together and one person is on the road and the other person's, like, in the studio, you have to, like, email. You have to kind of piece it together." The singer says his only contact with Williams so far has been through Twitter. "Airplanes" is currently sitting at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
B.o.B. is set to perform at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, which Handler is hosting. Other artists scheduled to perform at this weekend's ceremony include Usher, Paramore, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Drake, and Florence and the Machine. The show will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on September 12th starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
