Massive Attack Supporting War Child's New Benefit Disc
Massive Attack is using one of its collaborations for the good of others. The group will offer the EP "Atlas Air" as a limited-edition release to aid the charity War Child. The title track leads the effort, and DFA's Tim Goldsworthy has also done a remix for the release. The set also boasts a new song called "Redlight" that features guest vocals from Elbow's Guy Garvey. Massive Attack frontman Robert Del Naja says, quote, "The initial pitch to support War Child and 'Help' wasn't difficult -- children are the innocent victims of war. We were quick to get involved. What's so great about War Child is they continue to make great albums and events. It wasn't a one-off, it's an ongoing project and that can have an effect long-term." Massive Attack previously appeared on the War Child benefit compilation "Help" 15 years ago. |
