The ACM "Beats Cancer" With This Month's "My Cause" Feature
Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Randy Houser, David Nail, and Lonestar are featured in the Academy of Country Music's latest "My Cause" web feature. This month's theme is "Country Beats Cancer." Keith is making an appeal for Stand Up to Cancer, Nail is highlighting the Payton Wright Foundation, and Shelton, Houser, and Lonestar are backing St. Jude Children's Hospital. The campaign, launched earlier this year by the ACM's philanthropic arm, ACM Lifting Lives, is raising awareness of various causes by showcasing organizations receiving support from country stars. The singers have taped messages about their favorite charities, and ACM Lifting Lives has arranged and compiled the clips by subject matter to present as each month's "My Cause" web feature. To view the videos and learn more about making a donation to one of the charities, log on to ACMLiftingLives.org. |
