Dio Memoir Planned, Wendy To Launch Label
Ronnie James Dio's widow says a memoir about the late rocker is in the pipeline. Wendy Dio, who was also Ronnie's manager, told RollingStone.com that she'll contribute to the book. Wendy said, quote, "I'm just going to finish the end parts of it. It's actually [intended as] a three-book deal -- the memoirs of Ronnie, a book of illustrated lyrics, and a photo book."
News of the memoir comes on the heels of Wendy Dio's announcement of her plans to launch Niji Entertainment on her own. Niji is the label that she and Ronnie had planned to create to release Dio records and projects from other artists. Wendy says the company's on track to launch this November. Ronnie James Dio lost his battle with stomach cancer on May 16th. He was 67-years-old. |
