LFO Bandmates React To Loss Of Rich Cronin
Members of the pop trio LFO are weighing in on the passing of their bandmate, Rich Cronin. The 35-year-old died Wednesday after a five-year battle with leukemia. EntertainmentWeekly.com quotes LFO member Brad Fischetti who called Cronin, quote, "one of the funniest people on the planet." Fischetti said, quote, "Nobody could tell a story like Rich. He used to say, 'Never let a few facts get in the way of a good story.'" He also remembers his friend as a fighter, adding, quote, "He beat leukemia twice. And beat a stroke." Cronin performed last summer with LFO during the group's reunion tour after beating that stroke, receiving chemotherapy, and even undergoing a stem cell transplant.
Fischetti and fellow LFO member Devin Lima had to help Cronin dress before their shows and even carried him on stage. They call the experience one of their fondest band memories. Fischetti says, quote, "We really became soulmates. Devin and I both realized how much we loved him, despite the differences we had in the past."
